Editing Services
I absolutely love helping creative writers polish their stories to perfection. My hope is to be able to give authors, especially self-publishing and indie, a chance to have their books professionally edited at an affordable rate.

While I am able to edit purely contemporary fiction and non-fiction, my strengths lie in fantasy, sci-fi, and all applicable sub-genres. I am willing and able to edit for most age categories, though I'm most confident in Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult fiction.
I am not a good fit for books in the genre of erotica, books with a very high spice level, or stories that involve a heavy focus on suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. I reserve the right to decline working on a manuscript for any reason.

Developmental Edits
These are my favorite edits to do! With a developmental edit, I'll dig deep into your book, making notes of what's working and what could use some tweaking. That means I look at the big picture—plot, worldbuilding, theme, character arcs, etc—and work with you to make every element the strongest it can be!
Turnaround time is four weeks for manuscripts under 100k, six weeks for manuscripts over 100k.
Line Edits
With a line edit, I go through your project line by line and analyze word choice, sentence structure, dialogue strength, character voice, etc. to see where your prose is singing and where it can be strengthened.

Copy Edits
Now we're down to the nitty-gritty of editing! When I do a copy edit, I'll go through your manuscript with a fine-toothed comb, checking grammar, spelling, word choice, punctuation, etc. so you can be confident that your book is ready for publication!

Proofreading
Proofreading is the last step to getting your work ready for publication! I'll read through your manuscript carefully and correct any remaining errors. This is the final bit of polish to make your manuscript shine!
